Wessex Rope and Packaging was started in 1989 and over the last 30 years has built an outstanding reputation for quality and value. We supply rope and ratchet straps to many industries but specialise in providing cut lengths of rope to the meat industry. In addition to rope we also manufacture bespoke ratchet straps in a range of widths and colours in our Poole manufacturing plant. In March 2019 South West Packaging acquired Wessex Rope and Packaging. South West Packaging is a manufacturer of corrugated packaging, they are an independent company who have been supplying the UK with sustainably produced, sustainable packaging for over 40 years. Since 2019 South West Packaging have invested heavily in additional premises and equipment and in 2023 were successful in gaining BRCGS Grade AA certification, the highest grade achievable. The scope of the BRCGS certification not only covers the manufacture of corrugated boxes but also covers the cutting of rope for the meat industry. BRCGS standards are used in over 130 countries and set the benchmark for good manufacturing practices.
